Kurusch Ebrahimi Fard, del ICMAT, dicta la conferencia ‘On the Faà di Bruno Hopf algebra of the feedback loop in nonlinear control theory – composing iterated integrals’ a las 12.00 horas en el Aula 104 del Edificio Vives.
ABSTRACT: In this talk we present the combinatorial and algebraic structures underlying the interconnection theory of Fliess operators. The latter play a central role in nonlinear control systems. Through the work of Gray and Duffaut Espinosa, it has become clear that composition of Fliess operators may be considered a natural generalization of classical composition of functions. As a result, a Faà di Bruno type Hopf algebra has emerged. We outline a description of this Hopf algebra through combinatorial operations on so-called rooted circle trees. A Zimmermann type forest formula for the antipode is also given. This talk is based on joint work with W.S. Gray and L.A. Duffaut Espinosa.
