The Novenas Jornadas de Teoría de Números or "Ninth Number Theory Days" (9thJTN) will take place in Logroño, the capital of the Rioja autonomous region in Spain, from Tuesday, June 28th to Friday, July 1st of 2022. The conference is organized by the Department of Mathematics and Computation of the University of La Rioja. Starting with the first JTN in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona) in 2005, the conferences have been held biannually at various locations throughout Spain, with the sole exception of 2021 when, for reasons known to all of us, they were canceled well in advance. These same reasons led to such striking images as the one on the conference poster, where we can see Logroño's Laurel Street (informally, or shall we say, notoriously, known as the "elephant trail") completely devoid of people, its many restaurants and bars all closed. We are certain that, in spite of having broken the parity of the conference scheduling, 2022 with its "two ducklings" in tow will bring us good luck, giving us a worry-free 9thJTN and mathematical success. We will continue to update this page with useful information about the conference, as soon as possible after it is available. The conference poster is available in PDF format in A4 size and also in A3 size. For those who are curious, here is the LaTeX source code for the posters. A file with more detailed information, including the complete program with abstracts for each talk, can be found here (version of July 1, updated after the conference, in pdf). |
