The Novenas Jornadas de Teoría de Números or "Ninth Number Theory Days" (9thJTN) will be held in Logroño, the capital of the Rioja autonomous region in Spain, starting on Tuesday, June 28th and ending on Friday, July 1st of 2022. The conference is organized by the Department of Mathematics and Computation of the University of La Rioja.
Talks will take place at the Science and Technology Building of the University of La Rioja, where (among others) the Department of Mathematics and Computation is located. On this map, it is the building marked number 9. Its address is 53 Calle Madre de Dios.
Meals for the conference will be served at the bar of the Science and Technology Building. If you have food allergies or special dietary needs, please contact the organizers so that we may try to resolve these issues.
Information on how to get to Logroño may be found here. If you plan on using public transport, make sure to plan in advance, as getting to Logroño by such means can be somewhat complicated.
The registration fee is 145 euros. This includes lunch for the duration of the conference, as well as the official dinner. If you think you might need financial aid, please contact the organization.
To register for the 9thJTN, fill out this registration form as soon as possible. The registration deadline is May 31.
The registration fee should be paid to the Universidad de La Rioja account with IBAN ES89-0049-6684-19-2116076478 (Santander Bank), to the amount of 145 euros, indicating your name and "9JTN" as a reference.
After paying, send an email to jtn2022@unirioja.es again indicating your name, your affiliation, and a copy of the receipt acknowledging the payment. You should hear back from us in a few days. Otherwise, contact us again in case your message was overlooked. The Universidad de La Rioja will make an invoce with the paymet, but they need the fiscal data (NIF, CIF and/or VAT and address); please, include it in the email.
Logroño is a small city and, if you are used to walking, getting around is easy. It is about a half hour walk to get from the Science and Technology Building, where the conference is held, to the downtown area. There are also city buses available.
The closest hotel to the university is the four-star AC La Rioja Hotel, located at 21 Calle Madre de Dios. There are plenty of hotels and other types of lodging all around town.
You can also stay in university housing at the Residencia Universitaria Francisco Jordán (6 Paseo del Prior). It is very close to the conference and offers single rooms for 25 euros and doubles for 40. For an extra 2.90 euros breakfast is included. We suggest you make reservations as soon as possible as apparently there is another conference being held around the same time.
Another nearby university residence hall is the Residencia Universitaria La Ribera (103 Paseo del Prior).
