Second Announcement
EACA-2001
Seventh Meeting on
COMPUTER ALGEBRA AND APPLICATIONS
Ezcaray, La Rioja, September 12-14, 2001

eaca2001@unirioja.es

The main goal of this series of Meetings on Computer Algebra and Applications (EACA) is to provide a forum for researchers on Computer Algebra as well as for researchers who essentially use these techniques in their investigations. Originally, this is a Spanish forum, but it is not restricted to Spanish people. In the last EACA events a considerable number of researchers from all over the world did participate. EACA-2001 is the seventh EACA meeting, following events in Santander (1995), Sevilla (1996), Granada (1997), Sigüenza (1998), Tenerife (1999) and Barcelona (2000). As in previous events of this series, the participation of young researchers is especially encouraged.

6.Information and Web page

Updated information will be available at the EACA-2001 web pages. All useful documents and files, such as style files for preprints or registration and accommodation forms, are available there, when ready. Web address is:

7.Participation and Contribution

Anyone interested in the topics of the meeting is warmly invited to attend it. Participants willing to give talks should submit an extended abstract of their works of no more than 5 pages before 16th April, 2001. Submissions should report on recent research works. Two kinds of contributions will be considered: (1) standard mathematical results on the topics of the meeting and (2) other works related to the experimental aspects of mathematics (innovative implementations of already known algorithms, experimental evaluation of the performance of algorithms or programming platforms, conjectures found using computers, and so on).

We recommend the authors to use the style file muestra.tex to write the LATEX file of the preprint. The file must be submitted by e-mail to:

eaca2001@unirioja.es

File muestra.tex is available at the web page. It will also be sent by e-mail on request.

Authors will be notified the acceptance of their talks and the modifications suggested by the Scientific Committee before 28th May, 2001 and will be asked to submit the final abstract of their works. Each participant will receive a copy of the Conference Proceedings (an internal work document) that will include the final versions of all the abstracts accepted.

Accepted papers must be presented at the Meeting by one of the authors in 20 min. plus 5 min. for questions.
