EUSOT (Erosion, Land Uses and Land Management) is a consolidate research group at the University of La Rioja, established in 2006 and consisting of teachers and researchers from Geography.

EUSOT is concerned with the impact that land use and land management has on hydrology, geomorphology and soils. Our research focuses on: 1) intensively cultivated areas in the western part of the Ebro Basin, and 2) farmland abandonment in Mediterranean mountain areas. We also work on landscape dynamics, natural heritage, and land management in rural and natural areas.

Our research is supported by regional, national and European research projects, and the results are published in peer-reviewed journals, books, book chapters and conferences.
