EXPRESIÓN ORAL EN IDIOMA EXTRANJERO (INGLÉS)

3 º CURSO, 1º CUATRIMESTRE, 6 CRÉDITOS

OBJETIVOS:
Learners should master the functions and structures of the language and know how to use them adequately in different communicative situations.
The learner must become aware of the social meaning of language forms.
Students will have acquire a good knowledge of specific vocabulary covering the most important aspects of tourism such as: accommodation, conference organizing, tourism information, travel trade, transportation, social tourism, rural tourism, time sharing, special interest holidays, etc...

PROGRAMA TEÓRICO Y PRÁCTICAS DE AULA:
The four skills should cover the following suggested areas:
· Trends in Tourism
· Travel enquires
· Adventure Tourism
· Ecology
· Rural Tourism
· Sustainable Tourism
· Safe Tourism
· Responsible Tourism
· Coach Tour plan
· Job applications, interviews, curriculum vitae
· Booking a holiday
· Historic towns and places
· Fares/tickets/booking
· Brochures, leaflets.
· Letter writing
· Accommodation
· Incentive tours, independent tours, farm trips
· Tourism forecast
· Leisure tourism
The language multimedia, video and CD player will help to develop the students’ oral/aural performance throughout the course.

SISTEMA Y CRITERIOS DE EVALUACIÓN:
Students are assessed by a written examination normally of 2 hours duration and an oral examination of approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Course work will be submitted on demand throughout the year. Attendance and positive participation will be taken into account for the final mark.
